RHC Kids
Children’s Church at Ridgeview Hope Church
The RHC Kids ministry includes our toddler room (ages 2-4) and elementary age services (ages 5-11). We always welcome kids in the service, but if you plan to drop your little ones off, speak with a greeter at the entrance and they can provide you with a children’s bulletin. When the message is about to begin, kids will be dismissed and you’ll be able to walk your little ones to the kids room upstairs. There, you’ll find background checked volunteers who are ready to check you in and provide your children with a safe and nurturing environment for the morning! If you are dropping off a toddler, our Toddler Room opens at the start of the service (10 am).
RHC Kids Philosophy of Ministry
In addition to our statement of faith, mission, values, and doctrine, we believe the following:
- We should seek to communicate the gospel to our children in a way that is comprehensible, age-appropriate, and applicable (1 Pet. 2:9).
- Values and ethics flow from our understanding of God as revealed in scripture (Prov. 1:7; 1 Peter 1:15-16; 1 John 4:8).
- The family and the church play different and complementary roles in the discipleship of children: Parents are the most effective and primary means of disciplining children and are called by Scripture to do so (Deut. 6:4-9; Eph. 6:4; 2 Tim. 1:1-7).
- The church should disciple, equip, and encourage parents in their primary role and provide qualified supplemental teaching and discipleship for our children (Matt. 28:16-20).
- A key aspect of children’s discipleship is to watch and participate with their parents in corporate and family worship (Deut. 6:4-7).
- In order to protect our children, the reputation of Christ, and RHC, we must always maintain a safe and accountable environment (2 Cor. 5:20).
