Our Mission

To Proclaim and Display Reconciliation as a Loving Gospel Community

“All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ, God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.” 2 Corinthians 5:18-20

Our Values
Scripture

By preaching and teaching the Bible, we help the church understand God’s will and grow in their love and knowledge of Him, becoming equipped to do good deeds and live righteously.

Worship

We believe in giving our all to God, and making time for worship through prayer, reading the Bible, and praising Him, both individually and as a church.

Prayer

We believe in talking to God alone and as a group to build a closer relationship with Jesus, know His will, work together in unity, show the world His wisdom, win spiritual battles, and stay spiritually alert.

Discipleship

Jesus wants us to help each other grow in faith by being disciples and forming close relationships with each other in the church.

Evangelism

People need to know Jesus, and the church is called to share the Good News of Jesus with others.

Compassion

The church values supporting each other through shared resources, practical aid, and prayer as directed by God.

Statement of Faith

What We Believe

Our statement of faith is based on the Evangelical Free Church of America’s (EFCA’s) core beliefs, which include the inspiration and authority of the Bible, the triune nature of God, the deity of Jesus Christ, salvation through faith in Him, the work of the Holy Spirit, the significance of the Church, baptism, and communion, the second coming of Christ, and the final judgment.

God

We believe in one God, Creator of all things, holy, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in a loving unity of three equally divine Persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Having limitless knowledge and sovereign power, God has graciously purposed from eternity to redeem a people for Himself and to make all things new for His own glory.

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is God incarnate, fully God and fully man, one Person in two natures. Jesus – Israel’s promised Messiah – was conceived through the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, was crucified under Pontius Pilate, arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father as our High Priest and Advocate.

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit, in all the He does, glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ. He convicts the world of its guilt. He regenerates sinners, and in Him they are baptized into union with Christ and adopted as heirs in the family of God. He also indwells, illuminates, guides, equips and empowers believers for Christ-like living and service.

Our Story

Ridgeview Hope Church

The story of Ridgeview Hope begins with Pleasanton Evangelical Free Church, which was planted in 1968. In the late 1990’s, the congregation began to pray about finding a new location, and after looking at over 40 different properties, they eventually decided to replant the church with a new name, new mission and vision, and a new set values for reaching the surrounding Tri-Valley.

Ridgeview Hope Church officially launched on February 10, 2019, and is now a thriving fellowship of faith in the Hacienda Business Park of Pleasanton, CA. As a loving gospel community, our goal is simple: to proclaim and display the good news of reconciliation as we follow Jesus and help others to do the same.
